Automatic Emergency Braking to be standard on all passenger vehicles by late 2022

Automakers have voluntarily to equip a low-speed automatic emergency braking (AEB).  By September 1, 2022, all new passenger vehicles will have AEB.  AEB is an advanced driver assistance system that can detect an impending collision. The system will alert the driver to avoid the crash.  If the system doesn’t detect a response, the AEB system may automatically apply the brakes to prevent or reduce the severity of the crash.  For more info, read the full article at NHTSA.
